Privacy Policy
The short version
- RitBix stores the training you plan and log, so you can see it on any phone.
- Your training is yours. Only your account can read it.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and we never sell anything about you.
- Juniors are a nickname only: no birthdates and no photos.
- Reminders are set on your phone itself and never pass through us.
- Delete your account in Settings and everything goes, at once.
Who we are
RitBix is made by Elentus ("we", "us"). Questions about this policy or your information go to support@ritbix.com.
What RitBix stores
- Your sign-in
- You sign in with Apple. RitBix gets an account number and the email address Apple shares, which can be a private relay address that hides your real one. We don't ask for your name, and there is no password.
- What you add
- The names of the athletes you track; your exercises with their instructions, links and what you need for them; your sessions with their days and times; and what you log: results set by set (each side, where an exercise has two), times, effort, notes, skips, swaps, rest days and progress checks.
- Kept on your phone only
- A copy of your training, so RitBix works without a signal; a running exercise timer or rest; your notification choices; and small settings, such as which athlete you looked at last.
- Reminders
- If you turn on notifications, RitBix sets its reminders on your phone: a note about what's planned, a reminder before a session with a set time, and an alert when a rest ends. They name the athlete and the session, and show on your lock screen like any notification. Your iPhone holds them until they're due; nothing about them is sent to us or anyone else. You choose which athletes get reminders, and can turn them all off in Settings.
- Crash reports
- When RitBix crashes or hits an error, it sends a report so we can fix it: the phone model, iOS version, RitBix version and update, a random number for this install of RitBix, and what the app's code was doing. It doesn't include your name, email or training.
- Update checks
- RitBix asks our update service for a newer version each time it opens or you switch back to it. The request carries the RitBix version and a random number for this install, and like any website, the service sees your phone's internet address.
- Emails to us
- If you use Send feedback or write to us, we get what you write, your email address and the version details the email includes.
You decide what you keep track of. If you choose to log something like height or weight as one of your own exercises, it is stored like any other result, only for you; RitBix never asks for it.
RitBix doesn't collect your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, Apple Health data, birthdates or advertising identifiers, and doesn't track you across other apps or websites.
Juniors
The account holder must be an adult (18 or over). Children don't sign up and don't have their own accounts, and RitBix isn't made for children to use.
You can track a junior's training if you are their parent or guardian, or have their parent's or guardian's permission. Please use a nickname, and keep notes to training: leave out medical details and anything else that would identify them.
We treat what you store about a junior as a child's information. It is only ever shown to you, never shared for any other purpose and never sold.
This website
ritbix.com has no cookies, analytics or trackers, and loads nothing from other companies. Like any website, its host sees your internet address when you visit. We see only how many visits the site had, never who made them.
How we use it
Only to run RitBix for you:
- to store and sync your training, and show your history and progress;
- to find and fix crashes and errors;
- to answer your emails.
We don't use it for advertising, don't build profiles about you, don't use it to train AI and never sell it. If you're in the EU or UK: we use your training data to provide the service you asked for, and crash reports because we have a legitimate interest in keeping RitBix working.
Who can see it
You. We don't look at your training. We would only open it if you ask us to help with a problem, or if the law requires it.
A few services run parts of RitBix for us, and use your information only to do that:
| Service | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud database and sign-in | Stores your training; runs sign-in | Database in Sydney, Australia; sign-in worldwide, including the USA |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple | Worldwide |
| Crash reporting | Crash reports | USA |
| App updates | Delivers app updates | USA |
| Web hosting and email forwarding | Hosts ritbix.com; passes emails to support@ritbix.com on to our inbox | Worldwide |
| Email provider | Holds the emails you send to support@ritbix.com | May be outside Australia |
So some of your information is handled outside Australia, mostly in the USA. Each of these services protects it under its own published privacy and security terms.
How long we keep it
- Your training: until you delete it.
- Removing an athlete deletes everything stored about them: their exercises, plans, logs and progress checks, and their reminders on your phone.
- Deleting your account (Settings → Delete account) deletes everything at once, on your phone and in the cloud, clears its reminders, and stops RitBix using your Apple sign-in. The cloud provider's own backups are cleared on its usual schedule.
- Signing out clears RitBix's reminders from your phone.
- Crash reports: deleted automatically after at most 90 days.
- Emails: as long as needed to help you; ask and we'll delete them.
Keeping it safe
Your information is encrypted on its way to and from the cloud and where it is stored. The database lets only your signed-in account read or change your training, and those rules are tested automatically every time RitBix changes.
Your choices and rights
- See and change your information: everything you store is in the app.
- Delete it: in the app, an item, an athlete or your whole account.
- Stop reminders: in RitBix's Settings, or in your iPhone's Settings.
- Get a copy: email us and we'll send your data within 30 days, in a common file format.
- Complain: email us first and we'll reply within 30 days. In Australia you can then contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au); in the EU or UK, your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change affects what we store or who can see it, RitBix will tell you in the app before it applies.
